The Adirondack Gateway Council (AGC) commissioned a technical report to consider issues and trends in agriculture and healthy communities. Healthy communities is defined by the AGC in the broadest sense, moving beyond food and food access to include concepts of walkability, multi-use trail development, recreation, parks and livable and connected communities. The research of issues and opportunities within the region include trends analysis and mapping. The analysis included a variety of socioeconomic indicators including:
• Housing
• Income
• Education
• Employment
• Vehicle ownership
